“All outstanding issues on AGOA have been agreed upon and finalised and negotiations have been concluded,” announced the DTI.
The DTI said on the social media platform that SA agreed to permit unrestricted imports of pork shoulder cuts after the US agreed to remove risk material before exporting.
An avian influenza protocol for safe trade of poultry products was also concluded.

The DTI said that SA agreed to US assurances that meat from livestock originating from third-party countries would comply with US safety standards
